Stories flitter about until we can’t help but bring them out. Nestled in bedtime memories or the distant nook of nighttime. They fill a need like any other, to be cultivated and sheltered even through the most meagre of means. Because they remind us what’s beyond us and of the multitudinous landscapes that offer themselves to our becoming. In Idaho, Mitch Wieland has been a steward of this practice, harboring and hewing the raw stuff of days for others to share and feel imbued with a bit more of what glimmers beyond ourselves.
